Position Overview

There has never been a more exciting time to be part of the growth in philanthropic development at one of Australia’s leading universities. The Development Manager will help transform the world through science, research, education and discovery. As part of the JCS Advancement Office, the Development Manager will help identify, cultivate, solicit and steward a range of philanthropic gifts to advance ANU.

The Development Manager will work alongside Academic staff to raise awareness and funding in support of research into global heath concerns, the social and interpersonal impacts of population health, and wider mental health disorders. Additionally they will support funding growth in a range of medical research areas including cancer, cardiovascular and renal disease, diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, vision impairment, amongst others.

The role requires a strong relationship builder and a passionate and committed individual who is not afraid of “making the ask”. The role requires the nurturing and development of many relationships, internally and externally of ANU. Applicants should have proven experience in a client-facing role, be highly organised and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fundraising experience within the health and medical environment would be highly regarded.
