About the role
The successful candidate will work part time within the centre 5 days per week. You will work alongside other educators, together within a team environment. As a Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for driving activities, new initiatives and design of your own room, with exposure to long day care and out of school hours care.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the children at all times
- Able to adapt the outcomes behind the EYLF into daily activities and routine
- Create a stimulating and positive environment for the children
- Available to work a split shift / flexibility in working hours
- Writing observations and analysing children's progression and development
- Monitor all staff interactions to ensure they are inline with the EYLF and The Grove Academy standards
- Opening and closing the centre
- Cleaning and general maintenance of the centre
A successful applicant will possess the following skills & experience:
- Certificate III
- Current Driver's Licence
- Experience working within a childcare setting
- Enthusiastic and career oriented
- Understanding of the EYLF and NQF
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to connect with children
- Be passionate about working with children
- Willing to be proactive in implementing curriculum
