About the role:
The Teacher – iVCAL delivers planned sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology including Moodle, to engage students and meet their needs and learning styles while working with students to improve their employability and life skills.

This self-paced, online course can be completed 100% online or as a combination of online and drop in class sessions. IVCAL can be fully individualised to suit the student needs and priorities

The Teacher – iVCAL is one of several positions in the Youth Programs unit of the Foundation Studies department. The position reports to the Manager – Youth Programs and is responsible for liaising with students, parents, relevant industry groups (i.e. VCAL QA Panels and LLENs), community services providers, overseas schools (where applicable) and employees of the BHI Group at all levels.

Your skills and experience:

• An approved 4 year teaching or a postgraduate qualification which includes an adult or secondary specialization teaching methods (with a Literacy or Numeracy major/minor), and a supervised teaching practicum is essential

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE41110/TAE40116)

• A postgraduate qualification in Digital Education is desirable

• iVCAL Expertise: Current and demonstrated experience in teaching young people in an (fully) online or blended learning and asynchronous environment. In addition, experience in research, development and implementation of online programs.
