We have an exciting opportunity for a new Centre Director to join the YMCA Holt Early Learning Centre. YMCA Holt is a seven area Exceeding rated early education and care centre, operating from a unique open-plan approach.
At the YMCA our belief is in the power of inspired young people beginning with quality programs for young children and accessibility to all in the community.
We are seeking someone who believes in the importance of education and care for young children and acts as an advocate for children and young people. A demonstrated practical knowledge of the NQF and EYLF is essential in this position. You will be responsible for cultivating a community of learning guided by theoretical and philosophical knowledge bases, whilst challenging the constraints of a traditional education and care setting. Your ability to successfully manage the overall running of an Early Learning Centre including staff management, mentoring and leadership qualities will be demonstrated in your previous experience as a Director.
This position has the support of a full time Educational Leader assisting with the construction and mentoring of the educational program as well as a dedicated management and administration team to assist with business operation, compliance, quality and administration.

To be successful in this position you will possess:
1. Experience successfully managing the day to day operations of a business
2. Knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework, compliance to the National Quality Framework and producing working Quality Improvement Plans.
3. Experience leading a team of educators with fantastic communication skills and the expertise to hold both positive and difficult conversations
4. Strong ability to work collaboratively with others
5. Skills to lead, motivate and inspire your team
6. Strong understanding and practical knowledge of early childhood approaches, theories and philosophies
7. An in depth understanding of Child Protection and the obligations in a professional education setting.
8. A recognised Degree in Early Childhood Education
9. Current WWVP Check, Supervisors Certificate and First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate.
