About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in our newly opened service in Cessnock, NSW. This role is for Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays with the opportunity to pick up Monday and Tuesday in the future as our enrolments are growing rapidly. This role will see you inspiring the programs in your room in partnership with our experienced and already established Room Leader.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, implementing and evaluating the educational program
- Maintaining ongoing records of the children's development, program and daily information
- Assisting with daily room tasks - e.g. activity preparation, meal times and nappies (we do not separate these tasks between Teacher to Educator within our service).
- Assuring the high quality of our service delivery in consideration of the NQF
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Government Regulations and Service Policies and Procedures
- Provide supervision and mentorship to Trainees, Students and team members with their professional development, individual goals and performance
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor of Teaching/Education (Early Childhood) or relevant approved teaching qualification (WE MAY CONSIDER WORKING TOWARDS THIS QUALIFICATION)
- A current Working with Children Check
- Experience in working with different age groups
- Strong ethics and genuine approach towards child safety and WHS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to excellence in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Commitment to cooperative team work whilst being able to self-motivate
