The Australian Learning Group is looking for dynamic and motivated people to join our expanding team within one of our colleges - the Australian College of Sport and Fitness. We are a fast growing and vibrant education organisation who is committed to providing high quality education and great service to 2,000 students Australia wide.
Although this position is based in Sydney CBD we can provide the opportunity to move interstate to one of our other campuses interstate (Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth).
Are you our next inspiring Trainer and Assessor?
We require inspirational teachers to deliver training in the following qualifications:
- Certificates III and IV in Fitness to students in a classroom and gym environment on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 1:15pm - 5pm and 5:15pm to 10:00pm
- Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management to students in a classroom setting
- Diploma of Fitness
Trainers and assessors are required to:
- Inspire and deliver the assigned programs using their extensive knowledge, past experience and examples guided by comprehensive learning materials
- Provide support and feedback to ensure successful completion of programs
- Monitor, mark and conduct student assessments
Is this you? Our Trainer and Assessors must meet the following key selection criteria:
- Must have Diploma of Fitness or appropriate higher education degree, Bachelor in Sport and Exercise Science / Human Movement Science / Applied Science would be desirable
- Keen interest in teaching others
- Experience in teaching or lecturing is essential
- Confidence and motivation to deliver excellent teaching (i.e. face to face) in a classroom and gym environment
- Sensitivity to students of different cultural backgrounds
- A high level of attention to quality and detail
- Current employment in the Fitness Industry.
- Current membership of an Australian fitness professional body
- Language, Literacy and Numeracy level that is appropriate to teach others
- Must have a strong understanding of learning theory, particularly with course delivery for adults and higher education
- Minimum of 2 years industry/professional experience
- Must have Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110/40116)
- Must have HLTAID003 Apply First Aid. HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid is desirable but not essential
- Extensive experience in one or more of the following specialisations :
- Advanced personal training
- Marketing the Sport and Recreation Organization
- Health Promotion and evidence-based practice
- Injury Prevention and fitness science
- Human Resource Management
- Fitness management and coordination
- Accounting in the Sport and Recreation Organization
- Legislation and Compliance in the Sport and Recreation Industry
