Job Description
About the Role and what you can expect
  
Employed by Think: Education Services Pty Ltd for Think Nursing. This role is responsible to ensure high quality learning outcomes for students through the delivery of education programs in accordance with Think Nursing’s learning and assessment strategies, and industry accreditation requirements.
Nurse Educators must work to ensure students are provided with the best opportunity to attain learning outcomes/competencies and satisfactorily complete their assessment tasks.
  
Responsibilities
  • Delivery and teaching of Diploma of Nursing Program content utilising flexible learning modes to accommodate student needs ensuring compliance with all regulatory frameworks;
  • Mentor students to understand and utilise the Codes and Standards of Professional Practice relating to Nursing;
  • Plan, prepare and deliver education according to the Program requirements in all delivery methods and locations;
Clinical Facilitator Responsibilities:
  • Oversee directly and indirectly student’s clinical practice and deliver education and assessment opportunities to ensure the vocational placement requirements are met;
  • Communicate with clinical placement coordinators (CPC) to ensure effective and appropriate experience for students;
  • Guide students through there clinical placements, provide regular feedback and ensure to utilise creative techniques when assisting students to achieve their learning goals;
  • Maintain Think Nursing records of student’s clinical placement including the vocational placement logbook, timesheets and learning contract to meet contractual and audit requirements;
  • Orientate students to the clinical placement facility (resources, workplace health and safety issues), conduct student debriefs and gain feedback student and facility feedback;
  • Support the nursing team using a range of learning styles to conduct practical sessions.
Essential Requirements  
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in nursing.
  • Tertiary qualification in nursing or related health discipline.
  • Current Division 1 Nurse Registration with AHPRA.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with LLN competency
  • Valid Working with Children clearance
  • National Police Check Clearance.
  • Computer literacy in appropriate discipline-specific and learning technologies as per business requirements.
  • Experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
