About us:
We are located within Sylvania Heights Public School and are an existing service that has just expanded our numbers to 120 children. We pride ourselves on being a fun and dynamic team with dedicated staff who engage and interact with the children, creating a program to suit their needs and interests.
About the Role:
The role will require someone who is able to work well within a team as well as someone who can be relied upon to complete any of their duties without supervision to the best of their ability.
As a permanent, experienced educator of the service, you will have various operational duties and responsibilities as well as having to be able to interact with the children in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Engage and interact with the children of the service, developing a positive rapport through play.
- Working with the director to develop, plan and review the program.
- Developing relationships with the families of the service.
- Be a leader and an additional point of contact for the staff.
- Daily morning/afternoon food preparation and assisting in our menu planning
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children.
- Previous experience planning and programming within a service (desirable)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Current Child Protection
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
