About the role

We are currently seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join the team at our North Parramatta Campus. This role will see you contributing to our high quality educational programs across all ages.

Oac North Parramatta is located inside a heritage building which has been immaculately restored with a warm feel that reflects the natural environment. There are separate outdoor playscapes for each age group and an alfresco dining area for the preschoolers.The campus team and the children come from a variety of diverse backgrounds which allows for teaching of respect and acceptance which then filters into the larger community. This is a truly unique environment to foster love and education whilst nurturing children all the way through to their preschool years.

Duties:

• Planning and implementing the educational program which values a holistic view of each child's development

• Maintaining ongoing records of the children's development, program and daily information

• Assisting with daily room tasks - e.g. activity preparation and meal times

• Assuring the high quality of services in consideration of the National Quality Standards

• Ensuring compliance with relevant Government Regulations

• Guiding team members with their professional development, individual goals and performance.

Essential criteria

• A Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) or equivalent approved teaching qualifications

• A Working With Children Check

• A creative and cooperative team person

• Committed to excellence in early childhood education and care

• Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF with proven results

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
