We are currently seeking energetic, team-oriented Aged Care / Community Service Trainers to join our organization.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting classes on our Sydney Campus and through distance learning to students located in different countries through virtual medium (i.e. Video conferencing).
The trainer / teacher will also be responsible for curriculum / course material development and delivery, assessment of student work and reporting results. Additional tasks include but are not limited to:
- Deliver Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Certificate IV in Ageing Support and Diploma of Community Services in class room and simulation labs
- Monitor, mark and conduct students' assessments
- Plan, review and improve training and assessment
- Participation in assessment validation
- Jobs may include travelling to other campuses in Australia
Essential Skills and Experience
In order to satisfy the job requirements, applicants MUST hold the following qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110/40116).
• Relevant qualification in Community Services or Social Care
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
• Sensitivity and ability to adapt teaching styles to students of different cultural backgrounds
• Vocational Experience/experience in teaching is preferable
• Ability of course design and content creation
Desirable Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in English
- Good IT skills and digital literacy experience.
