The Australian College of Higher Education is seeking to employ a full-time Trainer and Assessor (Coach) to deliver a literacy & numeracy program in Mildura and surrounding areas. Students include youth and adults as well as people with a disability.
The successful applicant will have a positive and pro-active approach to work, possess excellent communication skills, be highly organised and be able to effectively work autonomously and also within a team environment. The ability to engage and connect with clients to help them achieve their goals as well as a genuine desire to assist community members with multiple barriers to their learning will be crucial to your ongoing success in this role.
Highly regarded applicants will hold relevant vocational competencies including a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and qualifications in either education, youth work, disability or related field. Applicants with Teaching Qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
Applicants that do not hold the above, but are able to demonstrate the above qualities and/or experience working with disengaged youth, people with a disability or adults with literacy and numeracy difficulties or have extensive experience in the case management of clients or social workers are strongly encouraged to apply. We will provide the right applicant with initial and ongoing training and support to ensure you have the required skills to effectively deliver the program. You may be required to undertake and complete some study before you can commence.
