Casual Teacher Aides/Assistants
The Hutchins School, established in 1846, is an internationally-accredited Anglican Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school in Hobart, Tasmania, with an enrolment of over 1000 boys.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals wishing to join a team orientated and high performance learning environment in the casual role of Teacher Aide/Assistant. Our Aides/Assistants work with our classroom teachers to support the teaching and learning of our boys, providing 1:1 work when needed. The role may also be required to provide direct and timely specialist assistance to students in regular classes who have additional learning and support needs.
We are also looking for casual Teacher Aides who will play a proactive and vital role in the delivery of the School’s English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) program. You will be able to use your organisational skills, highly proficient communication skills and genuine interest in working with children who speak languages other than English, to support the program.
