Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work with pupils with Autism in a superb newly opened Autism resource base. The role starts in September 2018 (or possibly January 2019 if September is too soon) and would be for the full academic year (with the option to continue on a permanent basis) at a daily rate between £70 and £85 per day. 

This is a brand-new unit that has opened alongside a superb primary school to work with vulnerable Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) pupils in Brent are recruiting for their expansion Year 3-6 (Key Stage 2) class. The unit is well funded and resourced with some excellent teaching staff and SLT to work alongside.  

-    Experience working with Autistic pupils is preferred but not essential 
-    Pupils are verbal some have additional needs as such experience with SEN pupils is required in either a mainstream or SEN setting 
-    PECS and Makaton experience is desired.

You will be working as a support staff member in a team of three who will work throughout the school providing additional support to those classes who need it most throughout the day. 

Located in Brent the school is well connected with the Tube and buses there is also parking on site.
