APG are currently seeking applications for Young Engineers Presenters, to work on a rostered casual basis in the Perth Metro Area.

We are looking for enthusiastic science/engineering presenters to join the Primary Team. You must be a confident speaker, be able to engage with primary school-aged students and you must be passionate about inspiring the next generation of problem solvers.

The successful applicants will enjoy teaching students in years 1 - 6 about various aspects of STEM using Lego(r). There is an emphasis on physical science, but those in education, education assistance, child care or other science disciplines should apply.

About The Lessons:

  • Up to 15 students Year 1-6
  • After-School Classes - run throughout the school term on a weekly basis from 3pm to 5pm
  • Incursion Classes - run during school hours
  • All training, uniform, lesson plans and specially designed Lego(r) kits provided.

The successful applicants (s) will have the following attributes:

  • Completed Year 12
  • Degree/Diploma or studying towards one in Science, Engineering, ICT, Education, Education Assistance or Child Care
  • Confident public speaker (eg, debate team experience)
  • Customer service experience (be able to think on your feet)
  • Organised & punctual
  • A Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one)
  • Ability to perform manual tasks including setting up the venue, carry the Lego(r) kits and cleaning up afterwards.
  • WA Driver’s license
