The University of Canberra is currently seeking a Faculty Manager to join us in our relentless pursuit for original and better ways to teach, learn and research. The core of this role relates to the management of Faculty finance, research and facilities functions and the coordination of administrative services, but there is equal focus on business development, entrepreneurship and brand positioning. You will be a key player in driving the culture of excellence necessary to achieve University strategic objectives.
Reporting to the Executive Dean, this role will see you provide expert advice on strategic and effective management in the changing higher education environment. A key part of this role will see you support our research academics with the development and preparation of research program, grants and projects. As a leader, you will engage and enable Faculty members to identify new business opportunities and areas for improvement. This role will provide you with the opportunity to focus on the branding efforts that will directly influence the faculty’s image and positioning as a provider of quality tertiary education and research.
To be successful in this role, you should possess qualifications in a relevant area and have demonstrated experience, preferably in a tertiary education environment. As a leader, you must demonstrate your ability to build and maintain relationships with various levels of stakeholders and the community. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills are also essential.
