The Centre
The role is working for a new, purpose-built, 96 place centre which caters for children from 0 - 6 years.
This centre has been rated as EXCEEDING the National Quality Standards in all 7 areas.
Once you see the centre you will be amazed by the modern and sophisticated design, the abundance of new and natural resources, spacious rooms and outdoors area which embraces sustainability.
The centre is divided up into five rooms which consist of the 0-1 yrs, 1-2 yrs, 2-3yrs, 3-4 yrs and 4-5 yrs.
You will be working with an experienced management team who will there to support you every step of way within your career.
The centre's vision is to create an environment where each child's different needs are met.
Within their program they incorporate the Reggio Emilia approach as well as the theory of loose parts.
The hours of operation of the centre are from 7:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
The Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to take on the role of Centre Director.
In this role your duties will involve working closely with an experienced owner and team of educators to oversee the running of the service.
You will also be a key contact for the families and will ensure that positive and trusting relationships are developed.
The centre is looking for a dedicated, confident, energetic and enthusiastic candidate who is able to think outside the box in order to take the centre, educators and children's learning opportunities to the next level.
Essential Criteria:
- MINIMUM of a COMPLETED Bachelor/Masters in Early Childhood Education. (Overseas qualifications considered only if assessed by ACECQA.)
- Hold a Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate.
- Current PAID NSW Working With Children's Check.
- Have a least two years experience in an Educational Leadership/Management role in Australia.
- Previous leadership experience is highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and its practical implication.
- Sponsorship offered for the ideal candidate.
