The Role

The position is a teaching and research role, with a clear focus on leadership of curriculum design and development. The Associate Professor in Health Economics will be responsible for the development and management of the Masters and Graduate Certificate in Health Administration, Policy & Leadership within the School.  This leadership role will make a substantial contribution to teaching and curriculum design as well as develop and practice innovative learning methods. The Associate Professor will also contribute to the research efforts of the school and will play a part in mentoring junior academic staff within the discipline.

Skills and Experience

The preferred candidate will have:

  • A PhD in the relevant field as well as significant experience in teaching within the areas of Health Economics, Policy and Governance;
  • A demonstrated understanding of the Australian health system and policy-making environment;
  • An outstanding national and international research record;
  • A demonstrated record of teaching in the relevant field; and,
  • Proven success in the design and application of course and study programs.
