The Opportunity
The Faculty of Information Technology is seeking a Group Lead to provide strategic leadership of the Data Science Group, manage and develop academic staff within the Group, support the Group’s academic staff to achieve their full potential in terms of research and teaching and identify training and development needs and opportunities.
Looking to appoint either at a Professor or Associate Professor level, the Faculty of Information Technology is seeking a true academic leader. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a strong track record of research and teaching in Data Science, as well as proven experience providing strategic and day to day leadership of fellow academics.
As the successful candidate you will be able to clearly articulate your research passion as well as your vision for the future for the Data Science Group at Monash. Your experience mentoring academics will serve you well in this leadership focused role.
Duration
The Data Science Group Lead role will run for 3 years, supported by a continuing appointment as either a Professor or Associate Professor depending on experience and capability
