The Opportunity

The Faculty of Pharmacy is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow in recognition of The John and Nariel Ware Fellowship in Pharmacy Education and Leadership. This two-year postdoctoral position provides dedicated time to develop the expertise and skills needed to advance an academic career in pharmacy education.

Those participating in the Fellowship will refine and practice their analytical and research skills in pharmacy education, extend their knowledge and skills in change management and leadership of complex activities and join a community of health professional educators dedicated to enriching the field of health professions education.

You will also undertake and complete a major project and be part of multiple smaller projects focused on curriculum, faculty development, learner assessment, educational program evaluation, or educational research.

Although the program will be tailored to the fellow’s skills and experiences, they will also gain broad experience in educational research and will be expected to translate this experience into published scholarly manuscripts. The Fellow’s primary activities will be related to educational scholarship with occasional contributions to the teaching programs.

We are ideally looking for a candidate with a doctoral qualification or equivalent research and teaching experience relative to qualifications. Regard is had to experience in educational research, teaching experience, experience outside tertiary education, creative achievement, professional contributions and/or contributions to technical achievement.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
