Our Client:

This large, leading International tertiary education institutions is in the midst of transforming the way they do business and have embarked on a rapid commercialisation of their business, which now includes instituting best practices in the way they procure goods and services into the business. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the newly appointed Procurement Manager will lead a service driven procurement team consisting of Category Managers, Procurement Administrators and a Procurement Analyst. With a strong commercial focus and extensive experience implementing semi-centralised, manual and e-procurement systems, this challenging yet rewarding role will identify significant value to the business through ongoing process improvement, as well as effective internal and external stakeholder engagement.

The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage Procurement operations, establish and maintain strong senior leadership level relationships across the business;
  • Communicate and obtain support of Procurement initiatives, which provide value, increase efficiency and reduce the procure to pay costs;
  • Preparation of monthly reporting & analysis reports;
  • Investigate appropriate eProcurement systems that deliver cost effective operational efficiency at enterprise level; and
  • Establish, monitor and report to internal stakeholder’s, service level goals, key performance indicators, and customer satisfaction criteria for procurement operations, procurement services and strategic sourcing

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience

  • A degree or other relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement or similar, with substantial Procurement Operations management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating Supply Agreements/Contracts
  • Hands on experience in category management
  • Critical that you are able demonstrate strong leadership and stakeholder engagement experience, specifically in relation to championing key complex initiatives to non-commercial stakeholders.
