The YMCA of Canberra's Children's Services has expanded to meet community demand and support families and children well into the future with high quality Education and Care. We are currently seeking Certificate III and Diploma Qualified Educators for permanent positions in our Early Learning Centres.
We are seeking people who believe in the importance of challenging thinking through reflective practice and are committed to ongoing research and discovery for the children. This role will require you to work in a team with observing and recording children's learning and aid in the preparation of exciting play experiences. You will also be required to participate in reflective practice, communicate with families, follow YMCA policy and procedures and work in accordance with all licensing requirements.
To be successful in this position you will:
- Possess or working towards a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Traineeships may be available.
- Be available to work Monday to Friday - 38 hours per week
- Have experience working with children 0-5 years
- Have a passion for assisting children develop
- Have a WWVP Registration
- Have a First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate - an advantage but not essential
- Work well in a team
- Be comfortable working in an open plan environment
