Detail information about job Projects Officer - Multi Cultural. Terms and conditions vacancy
Great opportunity exists for a motivated individual with a passion of diversity and inclusion to join the LSV Team!
Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak Water safety and Lifesaving organisation and is committed to its mission to prevent aquatic related death and injury across all Victorian communities. We strive to provide all Victorians with water safety, swimming, resuscitation, and safe beaches, water environments and aquatic venues.
LSV is an industry leader in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) community engagement with our multicultural initiatives educating over 14,000 participants annually on much needed water safety skills. LSV not only contributes to saving lives and preventing injury but also develops inclusive practices to positively contribute to the improvement in overall settlement.
The Project Officer will be responsible for the delivery, coordination and promotion of a suite of aquatic activities and courses that comprise LSV's unique and innovative water safety education and training projects.
Life Saving Victoria has an exciting opportunity for a Multicultural Project Officer with outstanding service delivery and communication skills, ideally with experience working with Victoria's multicultural communities.
This role requires engagement with the wider multicultural community including our participants, the agencies that represent them and other key project stakeholders such as government, service providers and charitable organisations.
We seek the services of an energetic self-starter with the ability to deliver quality practical and education sessions with a high level of customer service. You will be just as comfortable educating and instructing in the classroom as on the beach or around the pool.
You will ideally have previous experience and understanding of community initiatives, including relationship and stakeholder management. You will have strong written and verbal communications skills, with a strong attention to detail. Regular project reporting in particular requires an excellent knowledge of the Windows suite.
The role presents a genuine balance of in office and outdoor duties, as well as interaction with larger CALD groups and one on one mentoring.
Committed to providing a flexible and diverse workplace, Life Saving Victoria will provide a fabulous work environment, variety, work/life balance, great office amenities and facilities, based on the beach in Port Melbourne.
This is a fulltime/ fixed term role.
