Your new role
As ECT Room Leader you will be responsible for creating an engaging school readiness program. You will also use your excellent communication skills and approachable nature to mentor and develop your staff. Part of your role will be to identify each educators’ strengths in your room and use your collaborative style of leadership to ensure everyone contributes to the educational program.
In addition to this you will also have the opportunity to step up into an Educational Leader role, working closely with the Centre Director. You will ensure a consistent program across the centre focusing on using children’s interests and helping educators build confidence with their practices.
You will also be supported in your role by a friendly and experienced Centre Director on a day to day basis. If you are a passionate and creative ECT, looking to bring new ideas and leadership to a centre then this is the perfect role for you.
What you'll need to succeed
- ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teacher Degree
- Excellent community and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership ability
- Previous experience in programming and planning
