About the Opportunity

Uniting Early Learning is the third largest provider of children’s services in NSW. We provide quality education and care services to over 6,000 children each year. Our goal of ‘nurturing confident and creative learners’ is the primary focus of all that we do across our Long Day Care, Preschool, Occasional Care, Outside School Hours Care and Integrated Child and Family Centres. 

We are currently seeking casual educators to join our team at Engadine Uniting Outside School Hours Care.

You will be required to support the service in the provision of high quality care and education for children. Responsibilities include communication with families, contribution to educational programs, facilitation of play based learning and maintaining appropriate workplace health and safety.

Essential Criteria
  • Relevant child protection clearance i.e. Working With Children Check
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience implementing a quality program in an education and care setting
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Understanding of diversity and inclusive practice
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to working within the values of Uniting Children, Young People and Families.
Desirable Criteria 

  • Supervisor Certificate
  • Approved first aid qualification
  • Approved asthma emergency and anaphylaxis training
  • Approved child protection qualification
  • Experience and knowledge of the National Quality Standard
