Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, IT Services delivers cutting-edge, innovative and cost-effective digital solutions and services to the University’s staff and students to enable the delivery of excellence in education and research & innovation; and to support engagement with communities and partners.  IT Services is repositioning itself to be a pivotal strategic partner, a trusted adviser and enabler of organisational, education and research strategies for the University.

About the Role

The Associate Director, Channel Services is a member of the IT management team and is responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of IT Services with particular responsibility for client facing services such as channel services, adoption services, innovation, and business partnerships.

The role is responsible to envision, design, plan, implement and manage a range of enterprise digital services, channel services and associated standards that support both emergent and established IT Products and Services. Strong knowledge of IT Service management, Digital Experience, Human Centred Design and Innovation techniques will be critical in order to provide a high quality service to the Organisation.   

About You

You will be a driven and a genuine leader with demonstrated experience in outcome delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

     Essential Criteria

  • A proven track record in managing service delivery and relationship management skills.
  • Substantial experience of digital agency or relevant commercial business experience at portfolio management level.
  • Demonstrated experience creating comprehensive technology and digital strategies, including integrated web, portal and mobile channels and platforms amongst others.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage service delivery and relationship management.
  • Proven experience in managing major projects and budgets, as well as leading and managing creative teams.
  • Expert knowledge of various digital design strategies
  • Postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive experience in IT, business, social science, administration or a relevant discipline.

     Desirable Criteria

It is desirable that the successful applicant also possess the following:

  • Excellent balance of IT, business and communication related disciplines, with both design capabilities and commercial acumen with extensive understanding of digital, virtual and hybrid domains.
  • Preferred knowledge of sales strategies, account/program management, service delivery, and financial analysis
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills across various industry/market sectors.
