A fantastic opportunity has arisen for part time Educators at our Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) Crèche to be located at Meadowbank TAFE campus.

The role

We are looking to appoint Crèche Educators (Cert III) who are highly organised and confident to provide care and education to children from culturally diverse backgrounds. The Crèche is funded to provide care and education to children of students learning English Language at the TAFE Campus.

The positions are to be part time four days per week Monday - Thursday during the TAFE term times. The hours of the position are 6 hours per day, rostered between 8:30am – 3:30pm. There are also casual vacancies available.

This position is offered on a contract period until June 2023.

Duties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Work as part of a team to create a warm and inclusive educational environment for children of families from our AMEP program
  • Assist in the design and implementation of a quality education & care program of activities based on children's interests and emotional and social wellbeing
  • Support children and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Interact positively and respectfully with children at all times
  • Engage in professional and respectful communication with families

Skills & Experience

Essential requirements for these positions are:

  • Certificate III in Children's Services
  • Current approved first aid certificate and CPR
  • Current approved anaphylaxis and asthma management certificates
  • New working with children check
  • National Police check
  • The ability to interact well with children and build positive relationships with families
  • Experience working within a cultural diverse program is preferable
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Open to learning, clear communicator and well organised
