An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Director to join our current team at the Kenmore South State School Outside School Hours Care. Our large service is experiencing an ongoing demand and we are currently expanding our organisation and seeking multiple leadership positions. The service provides before and after school care, plus vacation care and is currently licensed for up to 180 children and this will be increased to meet demands in the near future.

Key Responsibilities

• Proven ability to lead, inspire and encourage all staff members, ensuring that they supervise, interact and engage with children and parents in a respectful and meaningful way.
• Assist with all licencing requirements.
• Provide support and guidance to Leading Educators for the development or superior educational programs for children of our centre that builds on the interests of the children and that promote children’s development.
• Oversee the management and operation of the centre working with the Operations Manager and HR Manager.
• Ensure pro-active problem solving by all staff.
• In conjunction with Management, direct and manage all centre staff ensuring they are inducted, trained and able to fulfil their roles effectively and advise them of our centre’s KPI’s.
• Assist the Operations Manager and revise policies and procedures in line with the NQF.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Have a sound understanding of the NQF
• Have achieved a minimum Diploma in Childcare,  Advanced Diploma in Children Services or above.
• Strong knowledge of CCMS, Qikkids including Kiosk and Enrol or similar.
• Already have or are prepared to nominate as a Certified or Nominated Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of CCB/CCR
• Must have Blue Card
• Must have First Aid Certificate and CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
• Strong computer skills

Key Selection Criteria

• Prior experiences running a large service as a Director/Coordinator or Manager
• Proven ability in strong administration and organisational skills
• Enthusiastic and willing to take initiative
• Be able to show a strong commitment to providing high quality of service for the children, families and the team
• Proven willingness to go beyond the call of duty
• Initiative and energetic

The position is a full time permanent position. Hours of work vary between 6am to 6pm. The successful applicant needs to be available for additional hours as required, e.g. during vacation care, staff meetings and training so flexibility is essential.
