About the role
As Project Manager you will deal with Peak Bodies and Executives and liaise with community organisations in addition to Government organisations, provide progress reports on project status, and collaborate with a range of staff in major Projects.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide oversight, guidance, strategic support and advice, tools and resources to assigned projects.
- Work with Diversity Managers and other key senior managers within Government.
- Ensure projects are delivered and integrated within agreed budget and timeline.
- The Project Manager may also be responsible for assessing whether a project should be initiated and for ensuring projects are delivered and integrated within agreed budget and timeline.
To be successful in the role you will bring the following skills and experience with you:
- Progress towards or completion of Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience or a combination of these.
- Program Management skills and/or Project Management experience
- A good understanding of the Aboriginal Culture and Community
- Experience in the Health sector or Community sectors is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to present to key stake holders in critical project areas
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work under pressure to deadlines and to drive successful results
