About our Centre

Welcome to Papilio Early Learning Epping, located just a 10 minute drive to the beautiful surroundings of Lane Cove National Park! Our centre caters for up to 78 children and is managed by our remarkable and highly committed team of educators who would love to meet you! At Papilio Early Learning our goal is to nurture and inspire every child in our care, so they can reach their full potential. We believe that education should incorporate an equal balance of play as well as learning, that is why we utilise the Lifelong Learning Approach - and we also have a dedicated School Readiness program. We integrate an exciting 'Healthy Children' program of events, activities, incursions and excursions year round and involve our families and local community at all times. The role

Passionate about early childhood education? Seeking a centre which truly values their ECT? We’ve got the right role for you!

Our childhood centre is a thriving part of our local community. The role encourages the teacher to help our children develop a lifelong love of learning through child-led enquiry, connections to our local primary school and positive experiences within our community.

Essential to the role are creativity, understanding of individual needs and skill in delivering programs which meet the Early Years Learning Framework and interest in facilitating the growth and development of other educators.

There are opportunities to design, implement and evaluate educational programs for our children, allowing for the unique and individual interests and strengths of each child.

As part of our centre, you’ll also be a part of a national network of Early Childhood Teachers working in more than 160 pre-school or kindergarten classrooms around Australia.  Enjoy the opportunities Affinity provides for you to meet, collaborate, share and inspire. About you

  • A natural, warm and enthusiastic leader ready to motivate a team of educators
  • Dedicated to creating friendly, caring and active learning environments
  • Proven ability to build and nurture respectful and mutually-beneficial partnerships with parents and families Genuine desire to maximise children’s love of learning
  • Experienced in managing daily care routines, and associated administrative and compliance tasks
  • Experienced in maintaining health and safety standards, and risk minimisation

You already have

  • An Early Childhood Degree or ACECQA-approved equivalent (or currently studying with 50% completion minimum)
  • Experience developing portfolios for each child
  • A current Working with Children’s Check or equivalent
  • Strong and positive communication, leadership and management skills
  • Current driver’s licence, first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate
