Little Palace Preschool is a 36-place preschool in Gymea.
The preschool is open for children aged 0-6 and operates between 7:30 to 6:00pm. We are committed to inclusive high quality early childhood education, a positive team environment and great relationships with families and our community.
The successful fulltime or two part time applicant/s will be passionate and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher and must have:
- Completed a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) approved by ACECQA.- Teaching accreditation from BOSTES.- ACECQA approved Child Protection Training (or be willing to get)
- Current working with children check and police check
- A current first aid/ asthma and anaphylaxis training
- Experience working in an Early Childhood setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated team work skills.
- Demonstrated a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
Position Criteria include:
- Develop and implement a meaningful and inclusive curriculum that reflects the Early Years Learning Framework and the preschools philosophy
- Guide the development and implementation of a play- based learning environment that is responsive to children's interests, strengths and abilities
- Lead, guide and support a classroom team to provide high quality early childhood education
- Maintain ongoing assessment and documentation of children's learning
- Establish and maintain positive and supportive relationships with children and families
- Attend meetings and professional development as required
- Provide supervision and assistance to other Educators in the room and work together to reflect on the implemented curriculum
- Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a proven leader in preschool room.
