OSHC Coordinator | Fulltime

The Organisation
An outstanding school in Melbourne's north West suburbs are seeking to appoint an OSHC Coordinator. The school has outstanding staff, facilities and programmes to enhance student learning and as a staff member here you will become an integral part of that. The programme provides before and after school care for students from Prep to Year 6.

Your new role
Your responsibilities as OSHC Coordinator will be to oversee the day to day operation of the service, managing permanent educators, as well as casuals when required. 
You will be in charge of programme administration, rostering, supervising and assisting casual staff in running activities, food preparation and general cleaning.
 Your duties will also include developing the centre QIP and ensuring you are operating at the highest level of compliance and prepared for Assessment and Rating. You will use your leadership and rapport building skills to encourage and motivate your team, assisting them with their own professional development and training.You will rewarded with an excellent remuneration package and receive all the school holidays fully paid. Experience and Qualifications:
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience in an OSHC coordinator and be able  demonstrate an ability to deliver a safe, caring and engaging program for primary aged boys. A sound working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, first aid qualifications and a valid Working With Children Check are also required for this position.
  • Diploma Diploma in Children's Services, Bachelor of Education,  or relevant Out of School Hours qualification
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management certs.
  • An up-to-date CV outlining relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 2 relevant management referees from an OSHC setting
  • Previous experience in an OSHC Coordinator position
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of child protection and legal regulations for the OSHC sector
