About the role:
 
Our team at C&K Amberley Community Child Care Centre are seeking a passionate Group Leader for a part time position commencing in July 2018. The successful educator will be working Thursday and Friday until December 2018 with the Nursery group. This is a large team environment, so the suitable applicant will have a collaborative approach to providing young children with meaningful learning experiences.
 
The suitable applicant will be responsible for:

• Developing a thorough understanding of C&K's Building Waterfalls and engaging in a collaborative curriculum approach
• Working with and mentoring where necessary other educators to assist them to meet the requirements of their positions
• Supporting and guiding children's behaviour in positive ways 
• Having an ability to work with and support children with additional needs 
• Assisting with the implementation of experiences and the provision of an environment which aims to increase children's knowledge and understanding of Australia's first people

 Ideal applicants will have:

• Diploma in Children's Services (or equivalent qualification)
• Hold a current Blue Card or ability to obtain a Blue Card
• Current first aid/CPR including asthma and anaphylaxis
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Knowledge of the C&K Building Waterfalls Curriculum is desirable
• An ability to work as an effective team member
• An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
