We currently have 4 campuses located in Parramatta (Sydney), Brisbane, Gold Coast and Cairns. AITE has a total capacity of 2404 students across all its campuses.

We have ELICOS Teacher position available at our vibrant and prestigious teaching team at Australis Institute at our Cairns Campus. This role is offered on a contract basis.

At the moment AITE Campus offers the General English morning session class for our students.  Our classes run 20 hours a week, and we are also looking for candidates that are available for relief teaching as well.

In order to process your application, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

• A recognised degree or higher or equivalent in any discipline
• A recognised TESOL qualification e.g.: Masters in Tesol, Certificate IV or CELTA (if you have overseas qualifications, then they must be recognised in accordance to Australia's educational requirements)
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities under the National Code 2007, the ESOS Act 2000, the ELICOS National Standards and any relevant State requirement
• Experience in teaching at a college in Australia is highly desirable
• Experience with International and also local students is highly desirable
• Participation and evidence of professional development
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Advanced computer skills
• Friendly, passionate, flexible and a motivated individual

The hourly pay rate is based upon relevant qualifications and industry experience. ABN is required.
