We are currently inviting applications for the position of Head of Junior School to commence from the beginning of 2019. The Head of Junior School is responsible for leading and managing the efficient and effective operation of the Junior School and will be an experienced educational leader.
The Head of Junior School will:
- Support the Christian ethos of the school.
- Develop and implement a vision for teaching and learning through the Primary Years Programme - International Baccalaureate (PYP) in the Junior School.
- Effectively administer and oversee the operations of the Junior School.
- Be proactive in the anticipation of and response to issues as they arise.
- Promote professional learning for staff that supports innovation and the application of best practice.
- Monitor and support staff in the performance of their duties.
- Work co-operatively with academic staff and promote team building.
- Communicate effectively with the school community.
- Ensure compliance in areas relevant to the Junior School.
- As a member of the School Leadership Team, be an active participant in the executive functions of the school.
To secure this position, you will be an outstanding educator with a record of achievement in teaching and learning which is innovative and embraces best practice. You will also have a clear commitment to girls' education and demonstrate strong leadership capacities. Experience in the PYP program will be an advantage.
