Job Summary:
Teaching maths is an incredibly rewarding experience. For all of us who love maths, we know that mathematics is such an enjoyable subject, if only you take time to understand it, to nurture it :) .
The role:
- This role is a private tutoring position that is available for all areas of NSW, Qld, Vic, Tas, NT, SA, WA and ACT.
- You will be tutoring primary and high school students located in your own state, but might be assigned to students studying other syllabi.
- Teach according to your own schedule.
- Lessons are conducted over the internet through our platform. No more driving or travelling to and from tutoring sessions, wasting fuel, energy and valuable time.
- Your lessons with each student will be scheduled on a weekly basis and will be on-going.
- Work according to your own schedule and availability.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong knowledge in mathematics with demonstrated academic results.
- Strong passion for teaching.
- Previous tutoring/mentoring experience will be looked upon favourably.
- Available to work at least four hours per week.
- Must have completed high school studies in English at a school which follows an Australian based curriculum.
Also you will need to have at least one of the following qualifications:
- Top-tier high school graduate with an outstanding ATAR (or equivalent) rank and you are currently a university undergraduate or;
- Bachelor or Masters Degree from a recognised tertiary institution or;
- A qualified teacher or;
- Postgraduate university student or graduate.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide one on one tutoring based upon individual student's learning needs.
- Interact positively and professionally with the client and staff to provide a safe and fun learning environment.
- Complete a progress report for each student. This report will be distributed to LearnED Hub and to the parents or guardian of the student so that student progress can be tracked.
Screening:
Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and background checks. Preferred applicants will be required to provide a prohibited employment declaration and consent to a Working With Children Check as required by the Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998 (Cth). It is an offence for a prohibited person to apply.
