Due to an internal promotion, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for you to join a rapidly growing business as our Training & Compliance Manager.

The Training & Compliance Manager is primarily responsible for the management, coordination and administration of the Training Department and the delivery and monitoring of the companies high quality vocational education and training programs as a nationally accredited RTO.  In addition to overseeing the design, development, implementation and evaluation of these programs, the Training & Compliance Manager is also responsible for a range of non-accredited training and assessment services provided to other key clients.

The Training & Compliance Manager role is reliant on a strong, applied understanding of compliance and continuous improvement and requires the provision of consultation and support to a range of staff involved in delivery and assessment.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the planning, implementation and evaluation of all training programs.
  • Ensure training and assessment materials are compliant, engaging and have clear links to vocational outcomes and/or further education.
  • Manage submissions for extensions or amendments to scope.
  • Ensure the RTO delivers nationally recognised training as per its Scope of Registration.
  • Management of RTO scope of registration resources ensuring currency with accredited training reporting and auditing requirements.
  • Ensure all qualifications and programs adhere to the training package, Standards for RTOs 2015 and AQF regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of qualifications and programs responds to learner, trainer, employer and industry feedback.
  • Actively manage the validation of training and assessment materials by collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a network of VET consultants and advisors to support the continuous improvement of training processes and products.
  • Prepare budgets and pricing associated with training and assessment services including external consultancy services.
  • Manage budgets within scope, and liaise with coordinators to ensure budgets are developed, monitored and re-forecast as required.
  • Manage the Trainers/Assessors in delivering high quality student experiences and outcomes.
  • Manage the Training Coordinator and RTO Compliance Officer in the provision of high level services and support for training functions.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.

Skills and Qualifications Preferred:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or :
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – including the following units:
    • TAELLN411 - Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills
    • TAEASS502 - Design and develop assessment tools
  • Hold a current Victorian driver's licence.
  • You will be required to provide a National Police Check and hold a valid Working with Children Check.  
  • Relevant vocational qualifications and demonstrated vocational competency and industry currency
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ASQA and relevant industry standards
  • Effective communication skills – both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude, honest and integrity.
  • Sound time management, prioritisation, planning, and decision-making skills
  • TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education & Training, TAE50216 Training and Diploma of Training Design & Development (or approved equivalent) are desirable
  • Knowledge of Safety Training, including High Risk Licence requirements are desirable
