We are seeking a TESOL qualified EAL teacher for a range of lower primary classes (children aged between 3-6 years old) in a small, community-oriented Australian international school in the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The position commences 2nd August 2018.

The school is populated by staff, students and families from many different parts of the world, with students drawn from more than 15 different nationalities. The school strives for high standards of academic excellence and through the Australian Curriculum, in conjunction with the local culture, aims to support the holistic development of each student.

Lower primary classes have a nanny to assist with the care of students. Class sizes are purposely kept small, with no more than 16 children in nursery classes and not more than 20 children in K1 - Year 3 classes, and all children receive individual care.

Ideally, we are seeking a teacher with experience teaching EAL to the 3-6 year old age group. You will be teaching in small groups of 3-4 children and also providing in-class assistance for young children who need EAL support.

We will consider newly graduated EAL teachers who have excellent practicum results and in particular with a focus on teaching children rather than adults. Newly arrived teachers to the school are incredibly well supported by a lovely Principal and leadership team.

The cost of living in Bangkok is 50% less than in Australia and a single person can live on well under half the tax-free salary offered. Job requirements

• Bachelor degree (in any field)
• TESOL qualification
• English speaker
• A good level of fitness and health, physically and mentally, is essential
