PCYC OSHC Services are dedicated to the quality care of children.  We provide before and after school care and school holiday programs to primary school aged children.

About the Role

$26.6125 - $28.40 (gross) per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) 

NB: Pay rate will rise after CPI increase comes into effect

Casual (approximately 15-20 hours per week)

PCYC Pine Rivers is currently recruiting a qualified OSHC Educator to join us in providing high quality OSHC programs at  Petrie State School Outside School Hours Care Service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the planning and preparation of interesting, educational and fun activities for children;
  • Meaningfully participation with children in activities;
  • Effectively supervise children
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment before, during and after the completion of the daily program;
  • Actively support and provide information to ensure the service meets licensing, accreditation and PCYC requirements.

About You

  • Minimum Certificate III in an area of study applying to childcare workers
  • Experience in working within a childcare environment
  • Ability to deal with child behavioural difficulties and conflicts
  • Ability to respond to needs and concerns of children to ensure quality of service meets agreed standards
  • Effective time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and commitments 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Light rigid driver’s licence (desirable)
  • Eligibility for a Working with Children Check/Blue Card
  • Hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate (where required)
