About Status

Status has a 28 year history of providing outstanding Commonwealth and State Government employment and training programs to unemployed and disadvantaged people across the Adelaide region, where we currently deliver training and case management to over 5000 clients each week. Our services have since expanded with delivery in Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program at Fremantle, Cannington, Armadale, Rockingham and Mandurah in Western Australia, establishing Status as a National Training Organisation.

The Role

We are interested in applicants who have a passion to improve the Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills of jobseekers, providing pathways to employment and further education, and who have the following essential qualifications:

·         Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110, or its successor), inclusive of LLN unit, plus

·         Literacy and Numeracy qualification or equivalent with experience teaching literacy and numeracy to adults; or

·         TESOL qualifications at Diploma or higher level.

·         Ability to work with all age groups and a range of nationalities

·         Ability to organise work schedule and prioritise work responsibilities

·         A strong commitment to the valuable role that training plays in assisting disadvantaged people to participate in society

·         Ability to work autonomously within a team environment

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Excellent computer literacy

·         Ability to embed digital literacy into all training
