The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Technology Services to continue to drive an already successful infrastructure, platforms and enabling technologies transformation. Working collaboratively as a member of the CIO executive team, this role will have a primary focus on leading, delivery and ongoing management of an efficient infrastructure service and the establishment and maintenance of effective client, user and vendor relationships. With significant financial management responsibilities, you will be required to lead and direct the provision of IT solutions to the University, delivering agile, responsive and coherent IT services designed to mitigate risk and enable the Monash academic mission and achieve our strategic agenda.
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer and leading a specialist team of staff as well as taking accountability for a growing number of managed service providers and partners, this role requires a natural leader, with the ability to provide direction and drive inspiration to a team and supplier group, resulting in collaboration and continuous improvement in ways we operate and deliver.
As a collaborative and detail-oriented senior leader, you will have an extensive history in managing and integrating successful infrastructure projects within a large and complex organisation particularly one with multiple suppliers and areas involved in on-time delivery with no impact to delivery schedules. You will have a strong background in executive management and a proven track record in influencing, negotiation and guiding decision making across all levels as well as an ability to deliver clear and concise messages tailored to various audiences.
