Your new role
As a teacher of Year 6 you will be responsible for inspiring and engaging students. This exciting opportunity also offers the opportunity to run the school student leadership program. In Year 6 students can be elected as Captains and House Captains and are encouraged to run fund raisers and activities for all primary students.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will be a knowledgeable and experienced teacher of upper primary. Your experience with this age group will allow you to engage with students through exciting lessons and support them as they develop their leadership and holistic skills through the school student leadership program and SRC.
The successful candidate will offer:
- Strong understanding of inquiry based teaching and learning, assessment and curriculum
- Ability to cater for individual needs; gifted and talented and learning difficulties
- Excellent (positive) behaviour management skills
- Energy, enthusiasm, and excellent communication and collaboration
- An interest in championing student leadership (extra-curricular activity)
Applicants must hold
- NESA registration
- Current working with children check
- Availability to commence August 2018 (mid-term start date).
