The Library is a fundamental partner in the education and research processes of Griffith University. We are seeking an experienced and innovative senior manager for a new position - Manager, Library Academic Engagement Services. This key role has a focus on both learning and teaching and research services.

The opportunity
This position reports to the Director, Library and Learning Services as part of the library management team. The position has a focus and responsibility for two service teams:

  • Library Learning and Teaching Services - focussing on student success throughout the student journey and partnering with academics to deliver academic, digital and information skills within the curriculum.
  • Library Researcher Services - providing expert support throughout the research lifecycle and training to Higher Degree Researchers (HDRs).

In the Learning and Teaching area, you will provide strategic direction in the development and delivery of new approaches to delivering library learning content, aligned with the principles of Griffith's approach to the curriculum and pedagogy. In the Researcher Services area, you will provide strategic direction in the development and delivery of quality researcher support services, aligned with the needs of researchers, and re-cast library services around the emerging digital information management agenda.

This is a continuing, full time position which will work across all Griffith University campuses.

About you
A key focus for you will be to ensure consistent, comprehensive and scalable delivery of contemporary library services to all members of the University community. You will provide strategic leadership to a range of professional staff in the development and delivery of innovative and customer-focussed library information and digital services, as well as academic research services, to advance the University's learning, teaching and research goals.

Salary range
HEW Level 10: $116,202 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $135,957 per annum.
