About the job

We are currently seeking a highly driven individual with extensive experience in a high level administration role for to support the Faculty of Business and Law. The Manager, Academic Support Services role will be responsible for managing a wide range of professional services to support the Faculty’s academic staff, manage and lead the Academic Support Team and have oversight of the Research Support Team to assist in meeting the strategic and operational goals of the Faculty and University.

This role will work with the Faculty support team to facilitate compliance with University and Faculty processes within both academic and research groups. The position will also assist with research and consultancy contract management across the Faculty.

The position will take responsibility for outcomes and liaise with relevant senior Faculty staff to provide advice and support for projects and operational issues relating to the Faculty. In addition, this role will be responsible for supporting the Deans through managing the administrative processes across Academic workload model and People & Culture process for engagement of staff.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Completion of a bachelor degree with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Extensive experience in a high level administrative role, which required high level creative, planning and management functions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written, with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels, both internal and external to the University with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues
