Our Centre:

Our 44-place purpose-built centre has recently expanded to accommodate children aged from six weeks to two years. We require an experienced full-time educator for our Nursery Room to join our vibrant and enthusiastic team in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

Jane’s Place Early Learning South Coogee received an Exceeding rating in the National Quality Standard in all areas in 2017, and we are looking to continue this high standard with our expansion and addition of new educators.

Our current indoor and outdoor learning environments both challenge and nurture the children attending our centre. The new configuration of our rooms allows our incoming educators in the Nursery Room to have some input into the set up of this environment. This Nursery Room facility has been newly furnished and includes the latest learning and development resources available.

Our team provides an enthusiastic, supportive, and professional environment, allowing all staff to progress and develop.

The Role:

The Nursery Room Educator will need experience working in a team of qualified educators, ensuring the current Exceeding rating standard of care and education is consistently met. Creating a diverse, individual and rich learning environment for the children attending our Nursery Room is vital. Our management and teaching teams are highly professional and supportive of the educators, allowing and encouraging them to reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and implementing the educational program guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. In collaboration with your team, you will ensure it is developmentally and educationally appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain positive and respectful relationships with children and their families.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met at all times.

Role Requirements:

  • Previous Nursery Room Educator experience is essential.
  • Ability to work alongside other Nursery Room educators as a strong team member.
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification preferable. Certificate III qualification will be considered.
  • Current First Aid qualification including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Current knowledge of Child Protection Legislation.
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • High understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Enjoy working as part of a vibrant, enthusiastic, dedicated and professional team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
