About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Children’s Services team, who provide a high quality, tailored child care program.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Support the Director in the day to day operations of our service;
  • Provide strong educational leadership to early childhood educators in line with the frameworks;
  • Model and guide opportunities with educators in order for children and families to feel respected and supported;
  • When required in absence of the Nominated Supervisor, undertake all responsibilities of the Person in day to day charge.
  • Ensure that the service operates according to the requirements of the Department of Humans Services Family Assistance Law;
  • Lead the development and implementation of the service Quality Improvement Plan; and
  • The Assistant Director will also fulfil responsibilities of the educational leader.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have a great knowledge of the National Quality Framework and are keen to support the team on their journey of continuous improvement.

We are also looking for someone who has:

  • A strong foundation in educational leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role;
  • Has excellent people skills and can communicate well with families and staff;
  • Extensive knowledge of funding requirements, Children’s Service regulations and other Government frameworks and standards; and
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise work to achieve the objectives of the position.
