The Role

The position is located within Training Support which is responsible for the delivery of training support services to trainees, trainers, Director of Physician Education and committees in relation to RACP training programs and the development and implementation of the Educational Leadership and Supervision Framework, Physician Health and Wellbeing Roadmap and Action Plan.  Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply for this position.

The purpose of this position is to undertake project work as a member of the Training Support team to deliver services to trainees and supervisors and continually improve services across the supervisor, trainee and wellbeing support streams.

Primary responsibilities will include but not by limited to;

  • Develop and implement the Indigenous trainee support plans through engagement with Indigenous trainees and professional groups.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the supervisor, trainee and wellbeing support services and develop and implement improvement programs.
  • Identify competencies for effective performance, learning and support needs of trainees and supervisors across the trainee, supervisor and wellbeing support streams and develop training programs and resources to address these needs.
  • Develop and document Training Support standards, policies, processes and requirements that align and integrate with the wider RACP education system.
  • Collaborate with other College units to develop and implement business, communication and advocacy plans including monitoring, implementation and outcomes.
  • Administer information management and reporting systems to support service improvements.
  • Support the Physician Health and Wellbeing program and contribute to the Physician Health and Wellbeing Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan.
  • Prepare business cases to secure resources to undertake improvement projects and develop resources.

The Successful Candidate

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply for this position.
  • Tertiary qualifications in adult education, human resource, business or health management, or another relevant field.
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and peoples.
  • Ideally five years’ experience in project officer or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities to improve services and developing and implementing improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing stakeholders, developing and implementing learning programs, other resources and support services for professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing business, communication, advocacy and implementation plans in collaboration with other business units.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with other business units to implement records, information management and reporting systems to support service improvements.
