About the role

We are a 52 placed Centre which is dedicated to providing high quality care & education, with a play based curriculum.

The successful applicant will begin Monday 23rd July 2018 with a week handover with the current Lead Educator.

The successful applicant will....

  • Develop and implement the educational curriculum based on the EYLF and achieve quality learning outcomes
  • Have a genuine passion and interest in promoting children's learning and well-being
  • Create strong positive relationships with team members, children and families
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, fun, safe, healthy, productive and effective learning environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to approach tasks in a professional and proactive manner, using initiative and flexibility
  • Demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate professionalism in both written and verbal communication skills
  • Ensuring compliance with routines, policies, processes and practices
  • Support and work in partnership with the Centre Director

Skills and experience

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Hold a Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor of Early Education
  • Previous experience in Early Childhood settings
  • Hold a current DCSI clearance
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in a leadership position or demonstrated equivalent skills
  • Proven experience in, and commitment to,  working as part of a  team
  • Proven willingness to learn and improve
  • Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high quality care
  • Current First-Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
  • Current RAN training
  • Sound knowledge of the National Quality Standards

We are a community based child care & early learning Centre, governed by a Parent Management Committee.
