The Organisation
Bendigo Kangan Institute is the merged entity of Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute. Our purpose is to change the lives of individuals, industry and communities through delivering innovative vocational training that facilitates real employment outcomes. With 10 campuses across Melbourne, Bendigo, Castlemaine and Echuca, we are one of Victoria's largest vocational training organisations.
We are currently seeking an experienced teacher to join the team based at our Metro campuses.
The Role
The incumbent will work within the VET Teacher Training team to deliver quality VET Teacher Training programs.
The incumbent's primary objectives are to:
- Delivery quality Training and Assessment of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Programs
- Teach within the full range of Vocational Education and Training Qualifications
- Provide a supportive and inspirational environment to students undertaking VET Teacher Training programs
- Create and design innovative best practice educational programs
Development and modification of training and assessment resources including 'e' learning and workplace based tools.
Key Selection Criteria
- TAE40110 or TAE40116: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and TAE50111 or TAE50116: Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or a higher level qualification in adult education.
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWC)
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in planning, delivering and developing quality VET Teacher Training programs and resources
- Ability to teach within the full range of Vocational Education and Training Qualifications
- Ability to work collaboratively, deliver results and support other team members.
- Experience in working cross institute to with colleagues to improve students' educational outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to the teaching and quality frameworks specific to course, State and National standards and principles strongly preferred along with capability to meet all VET reporting requirements and timelines.
