The Positions
The South Australian Department for Education is seeking to attract high calibre candidates to the role of Principal across multiple sites including:
Mitcham Girls High School; Glossop High School; Port Augusta West Primary School; Solomontown Primary School; Loxton Primary School; Hallett Cove South Primary School; Adelaide East Education Centre; Gawler District College B-12 and Murray Bridge High School. The Principal plays a vital role in delivering the Department’s goals – the child being at the centre of everything we do. Principal leadership is critical to every school’s ethos and culture, through a commitment to the development and achievement of system priorities.
As leaders within the Department, Principals collaborate within and across sites, the system, the community, other agencies and services to enhance innovation and continuous improvement outcomes for young people, their families and the community. Principals are required to maintain a safe and healthy environment for staff, children and young people.
The School Principals will be proven leaders who are able to lead teaching and learning outcomes. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills coupled with the ability to develop self and others, the ability to lead improvement, innovation and change, and build strong and effective partnerships with community stakeholders. Expertise in leading the management of the school, as well as teaching and learning practice which is informed by data and evidence are crucial elements for the successful candidates.
