About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an exceptional communicator with demonstrated expertise in business liaison, skills analysis and employment skills to join our dedicated and supportive Skills and Job Centre team. The Industry Engagement Coordinator works closely with local employers and businesses to identify the skills and training required to meet their recruitment demands. The Industry Engagement Coordinator develops and fosters key relationships with local employment and recruitment agencies, and the Local Learning & Employment Networks (LLEN) to establish training and employment pathways for students. To be successful in this role you will have high level interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise, consult and build effective working relationships. You will be a self-starter with high levels of motivation and initiative, and a strong commitment to exemplary client service.

To be Successful in this Position you will Need:

  • A suitable Degree or post graduate qualification with relevant experience; or lesser formal qualifications with substantial relevant experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in industry liaison, skills analysis and employment skills or similar;
  • High level written and verbal communication skills with an ability to gain cooperation and assistance from others;
  • Well developed computer literacy, administrative, organisational and problem solving skills;
  • The ability to work with other staff to resolve issues and gain information to assist with work activities;
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team;
  • The ability to build relationships with all stakeholders;
  • A demonstrated solutions focused approach.

A six month probationary period applies to this position. Successful applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and will be required to satisfy a National Police Record Check and a Victorian Working with Children Check.
